The most important achievements of the unit:

Develop bid requirements and specifications for hardware and the network of computers and activating operating systems of departments and faculties at the university.

Develop specifications of all computing and networks of Alexandria University and its various faculties; with deciding on the bids submitted and the examination and receipt of devices and networks.

Assigning some staff and teaching assistants, at Department of Computer Engineering at the Faculty to help in receiving programs.

Provide public training courses and developed in the field of computers and information systems for individuals and students of universities, companies and bodies.

Holding ICDL examinations in collaboration with UNESCO.

Provide technical and financial consultants to universities, companies and bodies.

Implementation, supervision and periodic maintenance work on special programs, at Faculty of Engineering:

A – Coordination Program students to enter the various departments in the faculty.

B – A program to print graduation certificate of administration of graduates affairs.

C – Payroll program of Benefits Administration.

D – Telephone directory program for faculty members at all departments.

E- Maintenance for university site on the Internet
